LET THE MONSOON STOPS HERE( A SHORT STORY )

Written by Yasir

Meet Miss Anne, yes I would stress on the word 'miss'. She was at early nineteen on the previous December, but sad fully, she's a widow now.

Standing near the window, startling at the endless night, she recited an ever emotional love story. Her cheeks are half wet & dry with tears. Even this free flow seems to be stopped. Yes, she has reached the saturation level. Her heart sinks deep into the thread of thoughts. The
Western blow with a sweet odour of rain kisses her pimples, taking her forcefully to her past dreams.

She was born & brought up as the only child of a royal family. Her parents were orphans & through scholarships, they earned a prominent level of education. She was brought up as a Princess by them, assuring a great childhood to her, giving everything she asked for. No one else were there for them.

And it was in a monsoon, fate wore a dreadful extension. The incident took place when she was at 15. It was a car accident & I don't know why she kept safe from the accident while parents closed their eyes forever. She got all the assets they had for her. She lived in a huge bungalow. But, at the first time in life, she became an orphan. She wandered everywhere in the bungalow. People looked at her with sympathy which she hated the most. Everyone had their eyes on the assets. There was no choice for her, but to kill herself.

Meanwhile, she found her man who didn't allow her to die & he showered a lot of love to her. The flowers were started blossoming again in her life. She had never ever felt such a sincere affection ever since the death of her parents. He never had any eye on her wealth, rather treated her as an asset. He brought her into life on her 18th birthday. She didn't cry for next 2 years, even her face didn’t go pale during these years. They lived being the sweetest couple in the world. Everyone started to show envy on them in one way or other, in fact they never bothered.

The season changed. Yet another monsoon takes in charge. It was a rainy morning when he was found motionless in the bathroom. The reason was quite a shocking one. He had been struggling from blood cancer for the past 6 years & well he hadn't informed her till it engulfed him entirely. The aroma around had the smell of death & the surroundings were terrified with her loud scream. The presence of the pulse was hardly found in her too. There was a sudden outburst of the rain, but it was beaten by the intensity of her tears.
For whom she should live now? Unfortunately or what, she couldn't give birth to a child.

The thread of her thoughts was broken when she heard of the baby's cry. Yes, she is still alive, fighting to the hardships of life. She was not ready to leave the world. She adopted a cute boy with chubby cheeks, similar to hers. She's at the last year of her teenage. But, you can call her a Woman. Now, she lives for him, only for him. Let's pray, not to see any more monsoon adding to her grief again.
